Four values for the position property are...
- static (default)
- relative
- absolute
- fixed *
Static positioning is the default position value,which causes elements to stack one on top of the other separated by default margin settings. Paragraphs 1, 2 & 4 below use default positioning. The position value is set to fixed in paragraph 3. Although the values for top and left are the same as they were for absolute positioning, the paragraphy is no longer positioned with respect to the center container because its positioning context is now the viewport, or browser window. Because it is nailed-to-the-browser-window, it does not move when the page is scrolled.
