This was created in Adobe Illustrator at 8" by 8" so it is now only 1/8th of it's original size. It is an example of equal areas of black and white so there is no true foreground or background. The eye will sometimes focus on the black shapes, and other times focus on the white shapes.

This was created in Adobe Photoshop CS4 by inverting Mandala One. There are still equal areas of black and white, as with Mandala One. Trying to focus on both the black and white areas simultaneously causes each to pop in and out. If done for too long, it will most certainly cause dizziness.

This was created in Adobe Photoshop CS4 by taking Mandala Two and applying a "Neon Glow" filter to it. Any color can be used, but the default electric blue seems to be best at giving the impression of a neon sign. The eye now focuses primarily on the blue shapes, ignoring the white background.
